SOUTHBANK

Photographer: Simon Mills | Agency: Personal | Client: Personal

Recently we’ve worked on some personal images for landscape photographer Simon Mills. Creating these multi part compositions, by reconstructing the Hayward Gallery for layout and aesthetics, and even changing the Masarati car colour from black to silver to suite location and feel we have also made sure detail and quality within the retouch are not compromised.

“To be given a car picture shot in a studio and placing it into a landscape that needed manipulating is a walk in the park for the operators and the option of directing via e-mail is common-place and so convenient. The ability The Operators has for interpreting my sometimes contradictory and changeable art direction was intuitive and very skillful but the extra creativity he installed into the pictures feel and mood was accomplished and unexpected. This extra creative talent makes the hole process professional, relaxing and exciting – looking forward to the next one”

Tiger

Photographer: Tim Tadder | Agency: BBDO NY | Client: Gillette

With the usual practice of game assets being created in CGI. BBDO New York recently teamed up with The Operators to create a project, which was out of the norm. Due to time constraints BBDO asked The Operators to create game assets from photographic material, purely in retouch, which would not have been possible to meet the deadline if created in CGI.??Having to approach the image in an unconventional way, the images had to be stripped down to create smooth form with texture and a CGI bump map feel. Having to skilfully hand paint new skin tones and lighting over the photograph, as well as painstakingly paint new clothes. Keeping the exact photographic representation of the well-known model (Tiger Woods), to form a generated looking game asset.
