Within Leather

LEATHER PROFILE_F_PERSONAL_CROP

We produced the latest campaign for Axe. The new fragrance that smells like leather had some clever concepts which incorporated photographer Kulbir Thandi’s images. The Operators used reference material of photographic model position and reproduced form and shape in flat pieces of leather within retouch and photographically shot crease and wrinkle position.

Combining the real with hand draw creases within retouch allowed subtle illusions too be formed into the leather.

Immerse_Yourself_W7_layered

Photographer: Peter Zownir | Agency: Baber Smith | Client: Cabot Circus

Here is one of our pieces out and about around the Bristol area. Entitled Immerse Yourself. It’s the latest advertisement for ‘Cabot Circus’ a new shopping center opened last year around Bristol. Using photographic elements, The Operators generated a specific background bedding the individual elements in separately. Then to sell home the idea of immersing ourselves within shopping, we generated all the liquid and movement circling around the model within 3D space.

Here is a close up of the detailing:

This project was created all in-house from initial rough sketches through to the final concept. Entirely modeled, textured with specific hair creation through to the render within CGi and finalised within retouch. Mixing our cost effective capabilities with limitless possibilities and the latest techniques, we can bring your concepts to life.

The below image is 100% modeled and constructed within CGi in-house, with specific controlled lighting techniques. Drawing inspiration from a beautiful still life photo by Dan Tobin-Smith we created ‘A Tribute’ to honor the image.

This was a fun image to work on with Carl-Johan Paulin and Quiet Storm. With a combination of meticulous skin clean up of prosthetic and new hairs drawn in by hand, the final colour grading finalised the shot. Keep your eyes out for the final shot around town.

LOGO

We’ve had a bit of an over haul. Look wise anyway. With the help of Spinach Design, a great friendly little design agency around the corner from us have given us a brand spanking new logo.

Based around the O of ‘Operators’, the new logo is a watermark crossed between the fragmented and distorted manipulation techniques within post production. We’re very happy with the new look and feel which Spinach have developed and feel it really depicts our philosophy and values of the company
